INSTAGRAM - NEW ALGORITHM: THE MUST-KNOW'S

Instagram and it's new Algorithm:

"Never change a running system!" That's what everybody thinks and agrees to. Well apparently Instagram thinks different.

This last couple of days every second or third pic in my IG timeline was " Instagram is changing - if you still wanna see my posts turn on notifications" and i must confess i posted a picture like that because i got caught in the #instapanic too.
But it became a little irritating and annoying, so i decided to do a little research about this whole #notificationmadness

Here is what i found out (for some people good - for others really bad):

1. You still get to see all your content in your feed. Nothing will be deleted on Instagram. It won't just be in chronological order.

2. You will see more pictures you like and which will be specific and fitted to your preferences. To which parameters is unknown at the moment.

3. It is assumed that you see the feed from accounts you like or comment often and that you already follow for a long time.

4. The big question is WHY?!
Well there are 400 million Instagram users. 9 mio yet alone in Germany. And it is known that you only see 30% of your actual content, because a majority of the people who use Instagram (the normal people - no bloggers or social media junkies) don't have the time to scroll all the way down until you reach 12 hours ago. With the algorithm, IG wants to prevent this from happening.

But people do not stress about this (like i did). It's not worth it. Sure you hear all kind of crap from companys and bloggers that it will be more difficult to keep your likes and appearance at the same level.
But let me just say 2 things:

1. Engagement is King!
If you have engaged with your Followers. If you have original, creativ and professional in short words good content. If you love Instagram and do it with passion. You do not have to worry!
Because your Followers love you because you are you and because of the content you provide. They are a fan and they will keep up to date with you.

2. This may be a new chance!
Because it is not about how many followers you have, it is about how many of these followers interact with you.
The times for people with bought followers are over! It is not important what your follower number says. (YESSSS!!!) If you engaged and interacted in Instagram from the day you started it, you don't have to stress about anything.
Because then your followers will see your content way up in their feed (as i told you in point 2 and 3 ;))

And to the others, well...

So i am done stressing and i can finally get back to what i love about Instagram. Finding new inspirations and meeting new people which share the same passion as me. That's what after all Instagram is for. And with the accusation Instagram only wants to grow it's profit. Well it's still a company people, but that doesn't miminise my love for it.
And if you really love a page, no one forbids you to hit notifications. So if you like my content, i would be more than thrilled if you click it.
Now it's your turn to decide. Let me know all your thougts in the comments below.

xx, Nad
